The Sea Turtle Farm & Hatchery is a non - profitable organization which is maintained for the survival of Sea Turtles for the next generation. Do drop in and be amazed by the efforts undertaken by the conservation farm to protect these species. Peraliya in Telwatta Hikkaduwa and Kosgoda area is famous for turtle hatcheries
Hikkaduwa is a renowned surf destination and annually attracts surfers from Australia, UK, Japan, US to name a few. Surfing in the Hikkaduwa region is quite well known and gets the best surf during its dry season, which is from November to March. There are four main surf points in hikkaduwa with waves going up to 11 feet.
Surf boards can be conveniently rented from any water sports centre for anyone to try this sport and make most of the waves.
